Peter Erickson collected personal narratives about baseball folklore. Included are stories about practical jokes, pecking order on the team, and stories from games. Project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University during Fall semester 1989.

Collection of stories about basketball legends and heroes. Many of the stories are Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. Also included in the collection is a list of common phases used on the court, and a few personal narratives about basketball games. Bauhman states that basketball holds a great deal of folklore due to its social aspect. Created by Justin Bauhman while he was enrolled in Eric Eliason's English 391 class.

Hallow collected narratives of rituals and superstitions practiced by basketball players. Included are the traditions of eating fries with an entire bottle of ketchup, wearing lucky boy scout socks, and wearing specific numbers when playing the game. The project was written for Dr. Rudy's English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.

Mark Durrant collected personal narratives about the folklore surrounding basketball. Included are descriptions of clothing superstitions and rituals, pre-game rituals, free throw rituals, and good luck charms. Project was written for an English 392 class taught at Brigham Young University during Winter semester 1995.
Baskin Robbins folklore / Joshua Barnett, 2005
Barnett explores stories collected from employees of Baskin Robbins and organizes them into four categories: customer frustration stories, humorous customer stories, repugnant customer stories, and employee initiation stories. Barnett believes these stories serve as a release valve for employees. Created by Jack Taggart when he was enrolled in Eric Eliason's English 391 course in Winter 2005.

Submitted by BYU student Larry Hawks for Winter 1977 English 391 class. About Bay area (San Francisco) school yard encounters that lead to Bay area folklore being shared. Contains an introduction, autobiographical sketch, informant abstracts and informant's items. Items include a man growing marijuana and evading police, gang initiation rites, Terry the tramp, crimes, hippies and drugs, and other illegal and immoral things.
