Harrison collected samples of ward directories made by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and analyzed their functions and styles. Included are explanations of cultural context, interviews with those who have made ward directories, and multiple samples from directories. The project was written for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.

Scope and Contents note Weed discusses the implications of going to school in a predominantly Mormon setting and the unique dating environment it creates for students at Brigham Young University. She then explores implicit dating rules at BYU, and surmises that bad dating experiences occur when one or more individuals participating in the date "break" these rules or gender roles. Weed collected stories about awkward, uncomfortable or awkward dates experienced by students at Brigham Young University. Included are stories of a freshman boy whose date started to rub his leg during a performance on the first date, a boy who payed sixty dollars for an expensive dance for which his date was in a terrible mood, and guy who's date had a crush on his friend.The project was written for an English 392 class taught by Dr. Eliason at Brigham Young University in 2006.

Scope and Contents note Explains the origin of the Word of Wisdom in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Explains that it forbids coffee and tea, but that there is controversy over whether caffeinated sodas are prohibited. Discusses various personal beliefs about caffeine among Church members and leaders. Concludes that consumption of caffeinated drinks not specifically mentioned in the Word of Wisdom is a matter of personal choice. Included are descriptions of cakes baked for weddings, birthdays, and scouting events, and narratives of specific cakes and the way they were decorated. Scope and Contents note Peterson analyzes the folkloric behavior of proselytizing missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and compares contrasts this behavior with behaviors common to occupational folklore. Peterson believes that missionary behavior is similar to occupational folklore insofar as it uses slang, initiatory pranks, and hierarchy to establish order, streamline tasks, express identity and momentarily escape from duties.
