BYU's bad dating stories / by Kimberly Weed, 2006
Scope and Contents note
Weed discusses the implications of going to school in a predominantly Mormon setting and the unique dating environment it creates for students at Brigham Young University. She then explores implicit dating rules at BYU, and surmises that bad dating experiences occur when one or more individuals participating in the date "break" these rules or gender roles. Weed concludes by analyzing the role bad dating stories play as folklore in Mormon culture. Created by Kimberly Weed when she was enrolled in Eric Eliason's English 392 class in winter 2006.
