Scope and Contents note

Explains the origin of the Word of Wisdom in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Explains that it forbids coffee and tea, but that there is controversy over whether caffeinated sodas are prohibited. Discusses various personal beliefs about caffeine among Church members and leaders. Concludes that consumption of caffeinated drinks not specifically mentioned in the Word of Wisdom is a matter of personal choice. Created by Paul Pehrson while he was enrolled in Jill Terry Rudy's English 495 class during Fall Semester 2003.
