This project contains a collection of songs composed by Mormon missionaries, usually as a variation or parody to either a well-known pop-song, or Mormon hymn or children's song. The analysis notes how these songs serve to release tension, create a sense of belonging, and help control members of the group. She deems the initiatory process to be folkloric insofar as it is artistic, traditional, and part of a social act.
