"These sweaty Elders sang as they walked--" : LDS missionary songs / Bryce Lowder, 2009
Scope and Contents note
This project contains a collection of songs composed by Mormon missionaries, usually as a variation or parody to either a well-known pop-song, or Mormon hymn or children's song. The analysis notes how these songs serve to release tension, create a sense of belonging, and help control members of the group. Songs include "Friends in Holy Places" "We will knock you" "I'm trying to be like Barnett" and "Baptize Baby." Collected by Bryce Lowder, Dr. Eliason's ENGL 392 class, Winter 2009.
