The materials include correspondence between Snow and his family, 1847-1887, a report on the possibilities of Mormons settling in the Gila River Valley of Arizona and in Mexico, and an autobiography dictated to Snow's son, Franklin Snow. In the autobiography Erastus Snow tells about his work in the settling of St. George, Utah.
