Photograph by Carter from 1892 containing images taken during the construction of the Salt Lake Tabernacle and the Salt Lake Temple, with the dates of the pictures. It also contains portraits of Brigham Young, John Taylor, and Wilford Woodruff and some short quotes about the construction of the Tabernacle and the Temple.
First Presidency letter
Photocopy of typewritten letter dated October 31, 1891. The document was addressed to David Moore and solicits money for the completion of the Mormon temple in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Photograph of Salt Lake Temple
The item is a photograph of the Salt Lake Temple. The photograph was taken between the laying of the capstone in April 1892 and the dedication in April 1893. A part of the Salt Lake Tabernacle is barely visible on the left side of the photograph. Trees surround the Temple, but the gardens have not yet been planted. Two ladders and a man can be seen on the west spires.
Lorenzo Snow letter
The folder contains a printed letter addressed to B. F. Cummings, Jr. and dated 8 September 1894. The item is a form letter in which Cummings' name was handwritten. Snow, then president of the Salt Lake Temple of the Mormon Church, requests donations of books to build up the library of that temple.
Lorenzo Snow letters to Margaret Pierce Whitesides Young
Photocopies of two handwritten and signed letters addressed to Margaret P. Young. The items are a birthday greeting from Snow and his wife, Minnie Jensen Snow, and a call for Young to work in the Salt Lake Temple of the Mormon Church.

Mechanically reproduced ticket with the stamped signature of Wilford Woodruff on it. The item admits the bearer to the dedication of the Salt Lake Temple of the Mormon Church.

Printed invitation to the dedication of the Salt Lake Temple of the Mormon Church. Woodruff's signature on the item was placed there by some kind of mechanical reproductive process.
