Printed death benefit certificates with handwritten entries payable to William A. Burnett, Attorney, Staunton, Virginia in behalf of survivors of deceased Confederate soldiers with brief statements of service and death dates of the deceased. Also includes a holograph certificate of power of attorney from Elizabeth J. Humphreys.
Minor R. Deming letter
Photocopy of a handwritten and signed letter dated 17 July 1845 and addressed to "Gen. Ewing." Deming admits that the hope of expelling the Mormons from Hancock County had been abandoned and indicates that he had been accused of the murder of the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith.

Typed autobiography. Doerig was born in 1923 in Greenville, Utah. She married Albert Doerig, Jr. in 1954. After the war, she joined the United States Air Force Reserve Program and retired as a lieutenant colonel.

Contains an Oral history interview with Fenton Lyn Drake, conducted by Jacob Nelson on October 2, 2012 for a World Civilizations course taken at Brigham Young University. The oral history discusses Fenton Lyn Drake's pre-Vietnam experience including: his mission, the draft, and deferments. Transcript of an interview conducted by Jay Drake on 26 July 1985 for the Ray Hillam war project. Kelly Drake was drafted into the United States Army in 1954 (?). He went to Ft. Ord, California, for training, and he was sent to Germany where he was assigned to be a jeep driver. He trained soldiers and played war games. He thought that the United States' participation in the the Korean War was justified.
