Handwritten record of items purchased by the Deseret News in Fillmore, Utah at the store of Samuel Pierce Hoyt (1807-1889). Also included is a list of persons paid by the Deseret News for work completed. Some of the entries are believed to have been written by George Q. Cannon, the Mormon apostle.

Typescript of an oral history, newspaper clippings, articles, correspondence, periodicals, and miscellaneous items. Most of the items were written by Gaeth as part of his broadcasting and journalism careers. The oral history is an interview conducted by Ronald G. Watt in 1976 as part of the James Moyle Oral History Program of the Historical Department of the Mormon Church. This interview largely relates to Gaeth's missionary activities in Europe.

Richard Halliburton letter

Handwritten letter sent to the newspaper offices that printed a column known as "The Office Window." The letter is dated March 22, 1928 and was written in Indianapolis, Indiana. Also included is a photocopy of the newspaper article dated Feb. 25, 1928. The news piece was somewhat critical of Halliburton and his adventures. Halliburton wrote to thank the editors for the publicity and to correct the things said about him.
