This collection contains photographs, slides, and negatives from the world travels of Andrew Durkus. Places of travel include the Suez Canal, Egypt, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, New Mexico, China, Nepal, Singapore, and Arizona. The collection also contains postcards, a 100 year calendar, four pins, four scarab seals, an ivory fan, tour guides, and a Bible.

Photographs of Nara Visa, New Mexico
Twenty-one post cards with photographs of Nara Visa, New Mexico, in 1909 which include people and buildings of the town. Nara Visa, New Mexico, was founded in 1901 when it became a water station and cattle shipping point on the CRI&P Railroad. The first settlers lived in a boxcar--but by 1902 Nara Visa had two buildings. Nara Visa creek flows through the village. In the 1880's a sheepherder named Narvaez lived here. English speaking settlers corrupted the name to Nara Vista.
