Scope and Contents

Collection includes two hundred and thirty photographs, including oversize images, one tintype, and a Brady photograph, with images of the oil industry and oil fields, landscapes of the West, G. A. Custer, and Ellison family and friends; stereographs of Indian wars, Wyoming; various western personalities and places; and postcards. Also includes four photographs and a postcard of Edward Copely and family. Also a picture of the printing shop at the "Old Nez Pierce Mission", and a postcard of the Presidents of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Robert Spurrier Ellison (1875-1947) was a prominent Colorado lawyer, businessman, politician, historian and author.
