Photographs of Nara Visa, New Mexico
Scope and Contents
Twenty-one post cards with photographs of Nara Visa, New Mexico, in 1909 which include people and buildings of the town. Nara Visa, New Mexico, was founded in 1901 when it became a water station and cattle shipping point on the CRI&P Railroad. The first settlers lived in a boxcar--but by 1902 Nara Visa had two buildings. Nara Visa creek flows through the village. In the 1880's a sheepherder named Narvaez lived here.
