Zacharia S. Taylor diary

Photocopy of a handwritten diary kept while Taylor was serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in North Carolina. Taylor writes about his daily activities and describes the nature of the missionary work.

Carbon copy of a typewritten essay. Livingston recounts the murders of two Mormon misisonaries and their protectors at Condor's Farm, Cane Creek, Tennessee, on 10 Aug. 1884. She also relates how the bodies were retrieved by her father, B. H. Roberts, while he was disguised as a common tramp.

Photocopy of typescript. Includes a number of letters written to Tenney by such people as Brigham Young (1801-1877), Wilford Woodruff (1807-1898), and John W. Young (1844-1924) concerning the purchase of land at St. Johns, Arizona, for Mormon settlement, missionary work among the Indians, and obtaining work for Mormon settlers by bidding on raliroad contracts. Some of Tenney's replies are also included. Folder also includes typescript copy of Tenney's journal for 1875-1876.

Rex N. Terry Argentine Mission correspondence

Correspondence betweeen Rex N. Terry and LDS general authorities, including Franklin D. Richards, Spencer W. Kimball, Gordon B. Hinkley, Howard W. Hunter and others. Letters contain subjects such as Church administration, requests to teach African Americans, special funding requests, Church membership statistics, local government issues, travel arrangements, council and special requests. Collection also contains some rough drafts not sent by President Terry. Materials dated 1966-1969.

Thane J. Packer : a Mormon scouter and family man

He served in Lemington, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, and Leicestershire. Within his mission papers is found several of Day's certificates of ordination to priesthood offices as well as several handbills listing lectures given by Elder Day and his companions.
