Scope and Contents
Correspondence betweeen Rex N. Terry and LDS general authorities, including Franklin D. Richards, Spencer W. Kimball, Gordon B. Hinkley, Howard W. Hunter and others. Letters contain subjects such as Church administration, requests to teach African Americans, special funding requests, Church membership statistics, local government issues, travel arrangements, council and special requests. Collection also contains some rough drafts not sent by President Terry. Materials dated 1966-1969.

Biographical History
Rex N. Terry (1925- ) is a Latter-day Saint from California; he was a soldier in World War 2, and served as an LDS Mission President in the Argentina South Mission.
Rex N. Terry was born on September 16, 1925, in Orangeside, California, the oldest of 8 children to parents George and Nola Terry. He served in the Army Infantry during World War 2 when he was 18 years old, and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. In 1966-69, he served as the mission president of the Argentina South Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Terry lives in Fresno, California.
