Materials contain a memoir of William Bradford Burch about his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He describes his work with sonar equipment, the U.S.S. Scope and Contents note Material contains a collection of documents relating to the World War II experiences of Bill McKell. McKell was called to active duty with the National Guard in 1941. He served with the 96th Bomb Group in the European Theatre. In "There I Was: Remembrance of World War II" (several versions of which are included), he recalls first hearing about Pearl Harbor as a serviceman. In that piece he also recounts being taken as a prisoner-of-war by the German Home Guard after being forced to bail out...

Budget for 1922 field work at Tayasal. 1921 agreement of Gates' purchase from the American Art Association. 1918 agreement of Gates' purchase of Mexican manuscripts from the Anderson Galleries. Gates' identification issued in 1920 by the Carnegie Institution of Washington. 1939 hand-written and typed copies of a statement by Gates on his life's work.

Materials contain volume one of a very detailed transcribed interview with William Grant Bangerter conducted by Don Rogers. Also contains another transcribed oral interview given June 15th, 2000. Also included is Bangerter's personal memoir of his wartime experiences during World War II taken from his personal history. Dated 1990-2000.

Materials contain the personal memoir of Bach's experiences as he was called to active duty in 1942 and was part of the 868 Anti-Aircraft Battalion in Hawaii. He tells of an unfair situation in which he was fined and almost court martialed but both were dropped. Describes his service in Gua protecting airports and his eventual discharge. Materials contain a spiral bound notebook of William Max Alleman's brief memoir of his service in an engineer branch of the U.S. Army during World War II. He discusses maintaining roads and bridges, building an airstrip in Leyte, Philippines, and a hospital on Okinawa. Memoir also contains four photographs of an airstrip at Machinato, Okinawa, V-J Day on Okinawa, a street scene on Okinawa, and a theater on Okinawa. Dated 2004.
