This project focuses on Brigham Young University's single's wards as a subgroup of Latter-day Saints wards in general with a specific emphasis on the activities of "ward prayer" and "munch and mingle." This 20 item collection contains the following stories: feeling trapped by a talkative man, apartment skits, meeting women at ward lunches, "cuddling," cheer notes, and singing. Scope and Contents note Mangum relates part of the history of the early members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo, Illinois, among whom were her ancestors. She examines pilgrimages made by Church members to Nauvoo, focusing on a trip her own family made for the dedication of the Nauvoo Mormon temple. She concludes that while the family did acknowledge the importance of their pioneer forbears, the real reason for going was personal interest, as many family members had been to Nauvoo before...

Scope and Contents note This project is a collection of family food food lore in the Haws family. The analysis comments on the central role of food in American activity, how it illustrates identity and American regionalism, and the effect of meals on family structure. Also discusses the traditions of meal preparation, Sunday dinners, and how meal time has been the source of folklore for the family. Includes ten items collected from members of the Haws family. Brady explores the role of physical affection in her own family and her husband's lives. She interviewed both families to see how each member remembers expressing affection while growing up, their attitudes towards public affection, and in what ways their opinions on affection have changed over time.
