Materials include written histories, letters and documents regarding the service of Hyrum Edward Flanders in the Chemical Warfare Service Division of the U.S. Army during World War I. Stornetta, the granddaughter of Hyrum Edward Flanders, has retyped letters written between him and his then-sweetheart and future wife, Della, as he served in the chemical corps in New York City.
