Scope and Contents note
Materials include memoirs. In separate memoirs, the war-time experiences of both Christina and Robert Dodenbier are shared, telling of civilian, and, for Robert, labor camp, life in Europe during World War II. Christina shares her experiences as Holland fell to the German Army in 1940, and relates the stories told by Robert to their children from his days in a German labor camp he was sent to after he was captured as a young man. Also included is an article about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Holland as seen by a former missionary there who also served in the Office of Stategic Services (O.S.S.) during World War II, and a letter from "Tina" Dodenbier to the Saints at War Project. Dated June 1946, approximately 2000-2001.
