Materials contain a couple short pages about Beverly Rasband Dixon's service as a nurse in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps during World War II. Also included are several pages about Dixon's grandmother, Janett McMullin, illustrating how, through letters and poetry, supported 13 grandchildren as they served during World War II. Some of the poems and writings are included. McMullin is said to have corresponded with over 100 servicemen and women during the war. Dated 1944-1945, 2000-2002.

Saratoga, "Sara," when a Kamikaze attack came on them at the Battle of Iwo Jima. He also spends time speaking of a good friend he met through the war and spent time with at home in Utah.
