Handwritten diaries in two volumes. The earliest item is for the year 1857 when Huntsman was serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Iowa and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The later item covers the years 1871 and 1872 during which Huntsman was on a mission in Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana.

Contains items collected by the family including war medals, missionary records, obstetrics records and supplies, and patriarchal blessing, genealogical records and hair clippings.

The Thomas Vickers journal, 1885-1897 (bulk 1885-1887), includes entries recording his mission experiences, such as appointments, results of meetings, traveling "without purse-or-scrip," individuals contacts, etc. Post-mission entries (1887-1897) document family, work, and life, in Nephi, Utah.
