Included are a snow picnic where a campfire meal is eaten in the snow, a tradition of eating almond rice pudding on New Year's, and eating black eyed peas on New Years for good luck. The project was collected for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1998.

Christensen collected personal narratives about pranking from his wife's Aunt, Becky Peterson. Included are stories of pranks played during her childhood in Clarkeston, and her employment as a tour guide in Nauvoo and at the Brigham Young farmhouse. Project was collected for an English 667 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1996.
