About the choices women make when it comes to personal care and beauty remedies, and the things they retell. Contains a cover essay, autobiographical sketch, and informants' beauty remedies, from egg whites for shiny hair, coconut milk to make hair strong, bleaching hair with vinegar or lemon juice, lemon juice on freckles to lighten them, Windex, toothpaste as a deoderant and to ger rid of acne, honey to have a smooth face, and much more.
