Materials contain Charles W. Arnett's memoir about his military service during World War II. Papers relate mostly to his ill-fated 3rd bombing mission and subsequent experiences as a prisoner-of-war. Also included in the file are a photocopied newspaper clipping about Arnett's prisoner-of-war experiences, a handwritten letter to Dennis Wright and Robert Freeman explaining Arnett's reasons for putting together the memoir, and an excerpt from the memoir. Dated 1994-2000.

Material contains a memoir of Chester M. Gilgen about his service in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Radar Technician 1/C in Africa during World War II from 1942-1945. Gilgen briefly describes his job of locating enemy RADAR signals and his experiences while based at Port Leyauty, Africa. Includes one photograph of him and Chauncey Coor, his friend.
