Collection contains the mission diaries of John and Mahonri M. Steele. Included in the diaries of John are day to day descriptions of his time serving as a Mormon missionary, and serving in the Mormon Battalion. He also gives some family history and autobiographical information about his life prior to the journal. The journals written by Mahonri M. Steele tell about his time as a Mormon missionary to England and Scotland.
Alexander Wright mission journal
Journal by Wright, March 1839 to January 1843, records his journey from Nauvoo, Illinois to the East Coast, his missionary efforts there and then his missionary labors in Scotland. He was one of the first missionaries to the country. It includes an account of his return on the Ship Sydney, and his activities in Altoona, Pennsylvania. His genealogy, financial accounts and some miscellaneous notations are included, including some work he performed on the Nauvoo Temple.
