Frederick William Hurst diary

Photocopy of a typescript of an autobiography and a diary. Hurst writes about his early life and his conversion to the Mormon Church. He kept his diary from 1855 to 1860 and from 1867 to 1877. Hurst tells about his service as a missionary for the Mormon Church in Hawaii and about his life in Logan, Utah.

Photocopies of handwritten diaries kept from 1894 to 1896 while Hutchings was serving on a mission for the Mormon Church in Samoa. Hutchings presents a detailed account of his activities and the culture of the Samoan people. Also included is an autobiography in which Hutchings writes about his childhood in Springville, Utah, his work in Eureka, Nevada, and his family life.

Scope and Contents Typewritten copy of an autobiography. Hyde writes about his early life and religious experiences. He tells about his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the many missions he served for that faith. He also recounts his experiences with the first president of the Church, Joseph Smith (1805-1844), and his activities in Kirtland, Ohio. Ira Hyer diaries

This collection consists of photocopies of Hyer's diaries. Hyer was called as a Mormon missionary to serve in the Society Islands and labored there from 1912 to 1915. From 1914 to 1915 he served as mission president of the Society Islands Mission. He was a soldier during World War I but saw no action being in Wales when the armistice was signed.

Includes maps of his Smith's "additions" to the city, as well as several indentures related to the buying and selling of this property. Also includes some documents related to Smith family property in Kirtland, Ohio, and Far West, Missouri. Includes a tax document for Hyrum's estate and an indenture for his property being sold after his death. Dated 1837-1846.
