Typewritten autobiography which was revised in 1937. Ada writes about her life in Farmington, Utah, attending school, importing silk worms to Utah, and local entertainment. She later moved to Springerville, Arizona with her family. Ada married John H. Earl (1855-1953), a farmer and a carpenter. She moved to Chihuahua, Mexico in 1887, to Fielding, Utah in 1902, and to Ogden, Utah in 1922.

Photocopy of a letter dated September 16, 1850 and addressed to Brigham Young, president of the Mormon Church, requesting advice concerning the shooting of Terikee, a Shoshoni Indian, by a Mormon. He was murdered near the city of Ogden. Also included is an autobiographical sketch dated 1860 containing information on Farr's life, occupation, and church service.

The diary was kept from 1861 to 1862 when Hadley was serving with the Iowa Volunteers. His accounts are often vivid and detailed. He writes about army life and actual combat. Handwritten correspondence, diaries, notebooks, patriarchal blessings, certificates, an autobiography, and genealogical materials. The correspondence are between Johnson and his wife, Hana, and were written while Johnson was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Sweden. The diaries were kept while Johnson was on his mission and after his return to Ogden, Utah. The certificates deal with Johnson's numerous callings in the Mormon Church.
