Willard Washington Bean autobiography

Softbound photocopy of a typewritten autobiography which includes a newsclipping from "The Church News." Willard W. Bean served the Mormon Church for 29 years and acquired many properties for the Mormon Church in New York State, including the Hill Cumorah.

George Beard diary

Scope and Contents Travel diary kept by George Beard during a plein air painting and photography trip from Coleville, Utah, to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the Grand Tetons. Includes brief entries from August 15 to October 10, 1889. Some entries mention photographs taken at different places, along with a corresponding number. A list of photographs taken is at the end of the diary, and images captured include Jackson Lake, Grand Tetons, Grand Canyon of the Snake River, Smith's Lake, and Smith Fork. Also includes...

Thomas Beard journals and reminiscence

Holograph documents (plus photocopies) which describe Beard's conversion to Mormonism, immigration to Utah, missionary experiences in England, and genealogical and historical information on Thomas Beard and his family. Reminiscence dated 1862.

Joseph Peter Beck diaries

Scope and Contents

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a handwritten diary. Beck writes about his preparations for a mission and about walking to San Francisco, California, to buy a ticket to New Zealand. He tells about his journey and his missionary activities in New Zealand which included his studies of the Maori language. He returned and arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah.

James W. Bee journals and slides

Scope and Contents

Contains photographic slides and photocopies of James W. Bee's journals documenting his work, travel, and research as a naturalist and a zoologist in Utah, Kansas, Washington, and other places around the world. These include observations of nature, including of plants and animals. The journals also include some photographs and drawings to illustrate James W. Bee's writing. Some slides depict Bee's personal and family life. Dated approximately 1927 to 1995.

Ebenezer Beesley papers

Scope and Contents Mormon hymn books, musical scores, newspaper clippings, a short autobiography, a biography, and letters. Also included is a photostat copy of a handwritten list of passangers on the William Tapscott in 1859. The Mormons on the ship later formed the George Rowley handcart company which emigrated to Utah in 1859. Also included is a typescript of a diary by an unnamed person describing the journey to Utah with the Rowley company. This is transcription from the Journal History of the Church...
