Biography
The Sandwich Islands Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized on December 12, 1850. It was temporarily discontinued between May 1, 1858 and March 27, 1864. In 1900, the mission was renamed as the Hawaiian Mission.

He describes learning the language, teaching doctrines and principles, developing the branch, and attending and holding conferences as well as dealings with ministers of other religions, miracles that occurred, and international events affecting the Sandwich Islands. Mary Ann King and William King diaries

Contains two diaries, one kept by Mary Ann King, dated 1887-1888, and the other by her husband William King, dated 1880-1882. Mary Ann's diary covers the time period during which she accompanied William on his mission to the Sandwich Islands for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. William King's diary discusses his ranching, camping, and traveling activities.
