Brigham Young letter to H. B. Clawson
Photocopy of a handwritten letter dated February 4, 1873 and addressed to H. B. Clawson. Young writes that a Mr. "Loughery" is not his agent and cannot pay the man's bills. Young also states that "The Company" is "Perfectly able to raise all the money they need to git machienry" for a project in Provo, Utah.
LeGrand Young Jr. letters to Fern Scott Young
Contains ten handwritten letters from Young to his fiance (and later wife) Fern Tolman Scott. Topics include courtship, working with railroad companies, and setting up their household in Salt Lake City. Many of the letters were written on paper with letterhead for Oregon Short Line Railroad Company and Emigration Canon Railroad Company, both of which Young worked for during this time. Dated 1900-1915.
