Photocopy of a typewritten autobiography. Evans was born and raised in Springville, Utah. He went to the Utah Agricultural College and taught school in Utah and Wyoming. He moved to California where he worked as a salesman and as a businessman. He gives many details relating to his early life and to his business activities.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of memorabilia, letters, essays, and biographies of Fairbanks. Three of the letters are from Joseph F. Smith, an apostle and later president, of the Mormon Church. This collection consists of 20 leaves photocopied from a typewritten compilation assembled and written by Hazel Barker Bott of her great-grandfather's family and descendants. Bott has included short biographies and photos. Alfred Great Barker and family were ribbon weavers in Coventry, England. They were converted to the Mormon Church in 1865, immigrated to America in 1879, and came to Utah in 1872, leaving some of their children in England.
