Sherman Beck Sheffield family history and photograph, approximately 1998
Materials include are photocopied pages from Sherman Beck Sheffield's Family History, outlining some of the experiences throughout his life. Also a photocopied photograph of Sherman and his brother Russell, both in the U.S. Navy in World War II, in uniform at the Oaknoll Hospital in California in 1946. Sheffield served in the 12th Navy District during World War II from 1945-1946 as a Hospital Corpsman First Class at the Oaknoll Hospital in Oakland, California. Dated approximately 1998.

Materials include a memoir of their experiences; photocopied photographs of the family, the five brothers in uniform, and other naval photographs; and copies of various newspaper clippings. File also contains copies of Elwin Simmons' handwritten account of his naval career, and copies of naval communications. Dated 2001.

Material contains an account of Elder Harold B. Lee's visit to Korea during the Korean war, as related by U.S. Army chaplain Spencer Palmer. Describes how Korea was not officially a mission field yet but there were many people being baptized by the service men. Also contains two photocopied photographs of Palmer. Dated 1992.
