Original letters from Eliza to Yorick
Handwritten copy of twelve letters supposedly written by Elizabeth Draper to Yorick (Laurence Sterne) prior to her departure from England for India in 1767. The manuscript is nearly identical to the 1775 publication noted above; however, a few significant differences exist. Phillips placed the following note at the end of the manuscript: "A Fourth full Copy from the Original MSS's done at Berhampore on the Island of Cossimbazar in Bengall [sic] this 12 day of August 1783."

Orson F. Whitney letters from family members, 1882 March-April
Materials include letters to Orson F. Whitney from his mother, Helen Mar Kimball Whitney, his sister Genevieve (Gen), and his sister-in-law Emma (Emily Ann Smoot). The letters are dated between March 17, 1882 and April 16, 1882, and give Orson updates on daily life and other events that the women experienced during Orson's absence. Dated March 17-April 16, 1882.
