File consists of letters regarding a refugee camp established for Basque children from Bilbao. The camp was established in South Hampton with the help of the scout and guide movements. The letters in the file discuss the administration of the camp. Dated 1937.

Several documents deal with difficulties with the Hampshire District Commissioner, a Mister Stanton, who presented difficulties when he was to step down as the commissioner. Baden-Powell gives encouragement in overcoming the problems of scouting in a rural, part-Celtic county. Also includes Baden-Powell letters expressing utmost pleasure after attending an historic combined rally of guides and scouts. Dated 1923-1928.

Also contains a epistolary request and affirmative answer for some veterans of the Second Boer War to meet up with Lord Baden-Powell. The Chief Scout's impressions of a later rally are also included. Dated 1918-1936.
