Materials include two copies of the typescript of an autobiography covering, 1792-1867, and journals, 1830-1859. Murdock was a Campbellite who joined the Mormon Church in 1830. He lived with Joseph Smith (1805-1844), the Mormon prophet, in 1833 and participated in "Zion's Camp" in 1834. He lived in Kirtland, Ohio; Nauvoo, Illinois; and Lehi, Utah and was in Missouri during the persecution of Mormons in that state.

Handwritten biography and journal. The biography is about Brigham's father, Jesse Nelson Perkins (1819-1883). Jesse was a Mormon missionary and pioneer who was active in civic and in Mormon Church affairs. He first settled in Davis County, Utah and later moved to Taylor, Arizona in 1877 with Brigham. Brigham's journal tells about his life in Taylor, Arizona.

Typewritten biographies, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and photographs. The collection consists largely of biographies written by members of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers dealing with their ancestors.

Handwritten poems and songs. Also included is a biography of Evans written by his granddaughter, Grace McLachlan Foxley, in 1940. The dating of the songs and poems is uncertain. At least one was written when Evans was on his mission in Liverpool, England.

This collection consists of a small bound holograph family genealogy, 2 account books of their store in Scipio, Utah and photocopies of each; 1 family history of Charlotte Nixon Robins; 1 biographical sketch of William Robins; 2 genealogy lists of the McArthur and Robins families; and one 1 in. x 1 1/2 in. photo of Henry Morrow McArthur.

Holograph autobiography (three leaves), genealogy of the Schoenfeld and Springall families (two leaves), and a postcard of Tansberg, Germany, where Edward was born. Schoenfeld joined the Mormon Church in 1855, migrated to Utah in 1857, and settled in Provo. He married Mary Alice Springall and served as mission president to the Swiss and German Mission for the Mormon Church from 1870 to 1872. He also edited the Mormon Church magazine "Stern" while serving as mission president.

Copy of handwritten autobiography, from the Bancroft collection, of Eliza R. Snow written in 1885. Along with her story, Snow included poems and song lyrics she wrote. The 49 pages are glued to acid free paper. Materials are dated 1885.

Starkie writes about his early life in England, his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his migration to Utah in 1878, and his life in Tooele, Grantsville, and Ashley Valley, Utah. Starkie concentrates on the early years of his life in England. Also included is a two-page typewritten biography of Starkie by his daughter, Mrs. Isaac M. Jones.

Scope and Contents Includes three reminiscent accounts written in 1880, 1885, and 1895, reflecting on her early life in New York state; marriage to Moses Tracy, 1832; conversion to Mormonism, 1834; occasional interactions with Joseph Smith Jr.; and experiences with her husband in New York, 1844.
