Abstract

This collection of photographs of 50 acres near the mouth of Provo Canyon was contracted by R. Sears Hintze for development or sale.

Scope and Contents This collection contains six postcards with images of Twin Falls, Shosone Falls, Provo Canyon and Spanish Fork Canyon dating from the early 1900s. Three are known to have been taken by Philander F. Perry. There is also a small 1" x 7/8" photograph of a young woman mounted on matboard. Also included are four stereocards; two Provo scenes, one Springville, and one of Cumorah Hill, New York. Scope and Contents This collection contains six photographs of Provo Canyon showing water development on the Provo River and two photographs of the Provo cemetery. One photograph shows the wooden flume and penstock constructed to carry water to the Nunn hydroelectric power plant and later the Olmsted power plant both located in Provo Canyon.
