Philander F. Perry photographs of Provo, Utah
Scope and Contents
This collection contains six postcards with images of Twin Falls, Shosone Falls, Provo Canyon and Spanish Fork Canyon dating from the early 1900s. Three are known to have been taken by Philander F. Perry. There is also a small 1" x 7/8" photograph of a young woman mounted on matboard. Also included are four stereocards; two Provo scenes, one Springville, and one of Cumorah Hill, New York. The largest part of this collection consists of 317 photographic prints (3"x5" and 8"x10" sizes) of Ringling Bros. Circus parade, Pioneer Day parade, and other scenes from around Provo and Springville in Utah; dated from 1905 to 1907. There is also a small record book which lists many of photographs taken by Philander F. Perry and the corresponding negative and stereocard numbers.

Custodial History
Nitrate negatives of images were obtained by the donor from the Provo chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Photographic prints of these were made by the Photograph Archives in 1983.
