The volume contains an autobiography, journal entries, school attendance roles, notes about the number of students Duncan taught, and a portion of a constitution and set of bylaws of the original Iron City Mine in Iron County, Utah. Thomas Durham autobiography and diary

Scope and Contents Typewritten copy of an autobiography and diary. Durham wrote his autobiography in 1854 and started his diary the same year. The journal is sketchy in many places and has many gaps. Durham wrote about his youth in England, his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his mission in England, his spiritual manifestations, blessings, and his migration to Utah. He left Florence, Nebraska, on 23 Aug. 1856 and arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 30 Nov. 1856. He...

Biography : Elizabeth Jane Ginger Durrant

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Elizabeth Ginger was born in 1853 in England. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1868. She married John Durrant in 1869 and had 10 children. She died in 1932. Even though Ella Durrant is listed as the author, this item is an autobiography of Elizabeth.
