Also mentions her marriage to Peter Dillman in 1882, some poetry, and a closing entry about her funeral and farewell entries from the associations she belonged to. Dated 1878 to 1906.

Starkie writes about his early life in England, his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his migration to Utah in 1878, and his life in Tooele, Grantsville, and Ashley Valley, Utah. Starkie concentrates on the early years of his life in England. Also included is a two-page typewritten biography of Starkie by his daughter, Mrs. Isaac M. Jones.
