Letter from Lalnde in Paris to Mme. Dupiery on June 8, 1793. This letter from Lalande describes both events in Chemistry and the Revolution. Back at the Paris Observatory he is able to meet Cassini, cartographer and director of the Observatory, who is both amusing and a pleasure. In addition Lalande writes about the victory of Morat in the dealing out of the estate of Luis IVX to the French public.

Lalande makes a significant discovery by clearly spoting a shadow on the moon. With this discovery along with other discoveries, he will compile another volume to add to his History of Astronomy.
