Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a tyewritten biography. Mary Ann Covington was born in 1815 in England, and she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1840. She emigrated to Utah in 1847 in the company of her husband, Joseph Albert Stratton. Her husband died in 1850, and she married Chauncey Walker West in 1852. She had no children and died in 1908.

She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1852. She married Berrill Covington in 1812 and had 11 children. Much of the narrative is an account of the company with which she came to Utah. It was taken from the Record of Church Emigration 1849-1857, vol. 2. She settled in American Fork, Utah, in 1854. She died in 1881.

Steggell was born in England in 1833, served in as a cabin boy on many sea voyages, and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Elizabeth Jane Bennett in 1856. Once Steggell was shipwrecked and nearly starved. He came to Utah in 1861. He returned to England from 1866 to 1868 to serve as a missionary for his faith. She came to Utah in 1868 and married Jonathan Steggell in that same year. She settled in American Fork, Utah, and died there in 1933.
