Biographical history
Parley P. Pratt (1807-1857) was an American religious leader and missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Parley P. Pratt was born April 12, 1807 in Burlington, New York, to Jared Pratt and Charity Dickinson Pratt. He served as an apostle in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1835 to his death in 1857. Pratt also served in several missions for the Church, including the British Mission (April 1841-October 1842 and October 1846-January 1847); Eastern States Mission (president from December 1844-August 1845); and was the first Latter-day Saint missionary in South America (March 1851-March 1852). It was while serving a mission that Parley P. Pratt was assassinated May 13, 1857, in Alma, Arkansas.

Jock Nickerson notes
Handwritten book containing notes on geometry and on geometrical figures. The book includes many drawings of such figures and calculations based on them. The date of the materials is uncertain. Nickerson lived his last few years with Rey L. Pratt. Nickerson claimed to have known the LDS Church leaders, Joseph Smith and Parley P. Pratt. A brief essay is included which speculates on this claim.

Also includes an undated biographical sketch of Belinda written by Parker Pratt Robison, based on her autobiographical account. Her account discusses her conversion to Mormonism, church service, and marriage to Parley P. Pratt.
