Correspondence of Robert Walter Weir, dating from around 1830 to 1884 in West Point and Glasgow. The letter are primarily from James Walter Weir, brother William Henry Weir, and former drawing student at West Point. Also included is an envelope addressed to Professor and Mrs. Weir with newspaper articles concerning rare coins.

It is a detailed daily journal recounting family events, business, visits, correspondence, achievements and relationships, as well as the social and cultural activities in which she and other family members were involved.
