Biographical note

Anna D. B. Weir (1862-1892) was housewife and first wife to J. Alden Weir.

Anna Dwight Baker Weir was born on May 18, 1862 to Charles Taintor Baker and Anna Bartlett Dwight. As a child she loved theater and art. Her education was at Mme. Tardivels in New York. Anna married Julian Alden Weir on April 18, 1883. She was described as quite beautiful and Weir was instantly attracted to Anna. Anna had a total of four children. Anna D. B. Weir died February 8, 1892 of puerperal fever in Windham, New York.
