Administrative History

Instructional TV (1965-1976) was an academic support unit at Brigham Young University. The department provided closed-circuit lectures on campus, as well as broadcasting courses to local viewers.

Instructional TV, also known as Instructional Television Services or Educational Television, was established in 1965. It operated as part of Broadcast Services until 1971, when it was transferred to the Division of Media Production and Development. In 1976 the unit was dissolved.

Managers included Owen S. Rich (1965-1966), Bernell Edwards (1966-1970), Stephen J. Anderson (1970-1971), and Harold Hickman (1971-1976).
