Scope and Contents This is a collection of photocopies of letters written by Wilford Woodruff and several miscellaneous items. Woodruff signed 14 of the letters as Lewis Allen, a pseudonym used by him during the time he was on the underground, hiding from federal officials. The letters were addressed to Thomas P. Cottam, at that time bishop of the St. George Fourth Ward and a prominent civic and LDS Church leader in St. George, Utah. Also enclosed are two letters to "Grand Pa Cottam" one of which is signed...

Material contains papers relating to Woolass A. Macey's service in the U.S. Army during World War II. Contains a memoir written by his wife, Gayle S. Macey, about his Army service, rehabilitation at Bushnell General Hospital, and church and community service. Contains two copied photographs of Macey during the war and one of him and his family later. Includes two newspaper articles about his fighting on Omaha Beach and losing his leg from a land mine. Dated approximately 1943-2002.
