Verna Stephens Long papers, 1999
Materials contain a memoir written by Verna Stephens Long about her experiences during World War II. She tells of working as an airplane engine mechanic at Hill Air Force Base, learning of the deaths of two of her brothers in Europe, and visiting American military cemeteries in Europe fifty years later. She includes poems written by her mother, Angelena VanDallen Stephens. Contains copied photographs of her mother and brothers. Dated 1999.

Materials in scrapbook include an extended sixty-eight page autobiography documenting Vernon Gurnsey Liston's life from 1923-2001 and an abbreviated account of his military service. Additional scrapbook materials include family history and genealogy materials, Civilian Conservation Corps records, Army enlistment records, newspaper clippings, and photographs with captions.
