Photocopy of a handwritten diary Eddington kept while serving on a mission to the Southern States from 1886 to 1887 and to England in 1888. Eddington was transferred to England because of hostile feelings against Mormon missionaries in the Southern States.

Photocopy of a handwritten diary from 1886 to 1888 when Eddington was serving as a missionary for the Mormon Church in the Southern States of the United States and in England. He was transferred from the Southern States to England because of hostile activities against the Mormon missionaries. Also included is a typescript of a diary kept by Eddington from September to December in 1879. He writes about the weather while passing through various communities in Utah.

George was raised in Kaysville, Utah, served on a Mormon mission to the Southern States, and spent most of his adult life in Idaho. He lived in Downey and was stake president of the Pocatello Stake for the Mormon Church for twenty-five years.
