The materials relate to Peterson's teaching career and his association with the Brigham Young University Chemistry Department. Also included is Peterson's PhD dissertation.

Contains the records of the Production Department, consisting of groups of research obtained on various topics, mainly food production. Dated 1933 to 1976, though documents earlier than the late 1950s are gathered research in that time period and not documents produced by the Chemistry Department.
