Joanna Southcott sealing document
Handwritten certificate signed by Joseph Allman and Joanna Southcott. The item was also "sealed" with a red wax seal which meant that the holder would be among the 144,000 mentioned in the Book of Revelations who had a special calling at the return of Jesus Christ. The document states: "The sealed of the Lord the elect precious man's redemption to inherit the Tree of Life to be made heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ."
Sermons for mass in Nimes, France
Bound book of sermons written by the bishop of Nimes, France from 1906 to 1907. These homilies were given at celebrations and Catholic masses. They contain moral lectures, explanations of Catholic Church doctrines, and presentations of liturgy. These sermons were written in French with some parts in Latin. They are meticulous and very descriptive. Some newspaper clippings in Latin can be found throughout the book.
